You are not new to this.
You've been freelancing for a few years. You have clients, you have experience, you have delivered real results. And yet.
You still wonder whether you need a niche, or whether niching down will cost you work you cannot afford to lose. You say yes to too many things because turning work away feels risky. When a client asks for your rate, something tightens in your chest and you end up charging less than you intended. You have years of experience and you know your work is solid, but somehow your clients are only hiring you to execute their vision.
And we are not new to this.
It will be the 7th edition of Freelance Business Month, and even if you've attended FBM before, this one won't be the same. Over the years, we've transformed, evolved, experienced ups and downs, welcomed more than 5,000 freelancers to our educational sessions, and seen many experts share their wisdom. Yet for some, all these years have been about learning, learning, learning, with no application. And without application, there are no results. This Bootcamp is designed to change that.
The visibility problem isn't really about visibility. It's about positioning.
Most freelancers have never even heard of positioning, and that's OK.
Almost everything we know about positioning comes from the corporate, product-driven world. The advice we borrowed is usually: "Niche down and define your ICP." That's not wrong. It's just incomplete.
What works for corporations doesn't automatically work for independent professionals.
Real positioning is a system of interconnected decisions. When those decisions align, something changes.
You stop having to prove you're worth the investment. Your positioning does it for you.
Eight decisions that shape how the market sees you.
Built specifically for freelancers, consultants, and solopreneurs, not adapted from a corporate marketing model. When the 8Ps are aligned, you stop being a commodity and start being the obvious choice.

“Elina has a way of explaining complex ideas in an easy way. I've been a freelance marketer for years, yet the Freelance Business helped me understand which parts of my business had a strong foundation and which ones I could improve on. And the event guests are invariably of high quality.”
“I was tweaking my pricing, posting on LinkedIn, wondering why nothing was moving the needle. The 8Ps framework showed me exactly why — I was trying to fix Price without solid Physical Evidence, and pushing Promotion without clarity on my Product. The personalised assessment was a revelation.”
A freelancer who's been through it.
In 2016, I left my corporate career to become a freelancer. It didn't take long to realise that building a successful solo business takes far more than talent or expertise. It requires understanding how a business actually works.
That's why, since 2018, I've been on a mission to help freelancers build stronger businesses through education, events, and community.
I've made many of the same mistakes most freelancers make. I rewrote my LinkedIn headline more times than I can count. I spent hours perfecting beautifully designed proposals. I changed my pricing without really understanding why. None of it solved the underlying problem.
Then a business coach told me something I wasn't ready to hear:
“You don't have a marketing problem. You have a positioning problem.”
That sentence changed how I looked at my business.
Since then, I've been obsessed with understanding what shapes how independent professionals are perceived, chosen, and paid. That journey eventually led me to identify the eight elements that define independent business positioning.
I'm not a business guru. I'm a freelancer who has spent the last decade building, testing, failing, and learning. Along the way, I've had the privilege of learning from more than 400 experts through six editions of Freelance Business Month—but more importantly, I've tested those ideas in my own business.
Everything you'll find here comes from that experience.

This isn't for beginners hustling side gigs.
It's built for advanced freelancers and solopreneurs in Web & IT, Design & Video, Copywriting & Content, Marketing & Social, and Operations.
- ✓ You're ready to move from order-taker to trusted consultant
- ✓ Your business relies almost entirely on referrals, word of mouth, or intermediaries, and you want to establish a direct relationship with your customers.
- ✓ You have strong skills, but don't fully understand how the business side works
- ✓ You struggle with positioning, value proposition and defining an ideal customer
- ✓ You want to know what actually moves the needle in a business
- ✓ You've tried marketing tactics, but nothing has produced real results
- ✓ Your business feels reactive, scattered, and hard to steer
- ✗ You don't want to invest in yourself
- ✗ You're looking for quick marketing hacks or templates
- ✗ You're not willing to think critically about your own business model
- ✗ You want someone to do this for you
- ✗ You primarily acquire customers through platforms or recruiters and have no interest in building direct client relationships
What does another year of competing on price actually cost you?
Another year of explaining your rates to clients who don't see your value.
Another year of chasing work instead of choosing it.
Another year of knowing you're better than what you're charging for.
Another year of feeling confused and trying too many things in isolation.
Spend October fixing the thing that changes all of it.
You can close this page and keep doing what you've been doing: competing on price, explaining your value to clients who don't get it, wondering when things will click.
Or you can spend October working on the thing that changes all of that. Your call.

I know how it feels to go through another round of ICP, USP, Value Prop and all that, and still end up exactly where you started. Honestly? It makes me nauseous too. Most of the time, we're not stuck because we're not smart enough — we're stuck because we're focusing on the wrong things. That's exactly what we'll fix, together.

If you have a question...
I already have a defined service proposition. Should I join?+
Possibly. Ask yourself: Can you explain what you sell in one sentence focused on the client outcome? Do you know exactly who your ideal client is — not as a demographic, but as a specific person with a specific problem? Is your pricing intentional, or did it evolve by accident? Do you have a named methodology that makes your approach visible? Does your online presence clearly communicate your expertise to a stranger? If even one gave you pause, you're exactly who we built this for.
Will I create a new service proposition during the bootcamp?+
Not necessarily, but it's certainly possible. The goal of the FBM Bootcamp isn't to invent something entirely new. It's to help you articulate, refine, and position the value you already have. That said, throughout the exercises and brainstorming sessions, you may uncover new ideas, opportunities, or directions you hadn't considered before. Most participants discover that they don't need a brand-new service. They need a clearer, sharper, and more intentional version of what they already offer. You may refine your existing proposition, reposition it for a more specific audience, or reshape it into a more compelling offer, but you won't be starting from scratch. That said, some participants realise that their current offer no longer reflects their best work. For them, that insight alone is worth the entire bootcamp, because it gives them the clarity and confidence to build something that truly aligns with where they are today.
I've tried positioning frameworks before and nothing stuck. Why is this different?+
Most frameworks are built for product companies, stay at the level of theory, or hand you a template instead of a process. The 8Ps was built specifically for freelancers, consultants, and solopreneurs. And the bootcamp isn't a course about the framework — it's four weeks of guided implementation. You leave with real deliverables, not notes.
What if I don't like it?+
We'd rather you didn't join than joined and felt it wasn't right. If after the first week you genuinely feel it's not what you expected, reach out. We're not in the business of keeping money from people who didn't get value.
This isn't a magic wand.
Nobody is going to hand you a plug-and-play positioning statement. You'll do the work, but you'll do it with a framework that actually makes sense, and with people working through the same challenges alongside you.
