Elina Jutelyte embarked on her freelance journey in 2016, transitioning from a traditional corporate job to the world of self-employment. As she navigated the challenges and opportunities of freelancing, she recognized a crucial need within this rapidly growing community – a need for freelancers to come together, share knowledge, and support one another.
Out of this recognition, the Freelance Business Community was born. What began as a local initiative in Belgium has since flourished into a global movement, attracting over 10000 freelancers from more than 60 countries. This vibrant community has become a hub for networking, learning, and collaboration, facilitating the exchange of insights and experiences that have transformed the freelance landscape. For the exceptional performance in connecting the freelance industry, Elina and The Freelance Business Community was featured in Forbes a couple of times.
At the heart of the Freelance Business Community is its flagship event, the annual Freelance Business Month (freelancebusinessmonth.com). This groundbreaking online event, spanning the entire month of October, stands as the longest and largest gathering of freelancers worldwide. It tackles a diverse array of topics, delving into the future of freelance work, the support and advocacy of the freelance business ecosystem, and the art of starting and growing a freelance enterprise.
Freelance Business Month is more than just an event; it's a global stage that welcomes an impressive line-up of speakers. From business owners and CEOs to TED/TEDx speakers, renowned authors, key opinion leaders in the freelance economy, artists, athletes, consultants, advisers, and accomplished independent professionals – the event hosts voices that shape the future of freelancing.

Robert Vlach is a leading expert on freelance entrepreneurship, business consultant, and the author of The Freelance Way — an international business bestseller published by HarperCollins in 2022, and translated into five languages.
He also founded Freelancing.eu, a project dedicated to supporting collaboration of European freelancers, as well as the Czech national freelance community Navolnenoze.cz, which currently supports over 250,000 freelancers in their business.
Robert joins this event to support Belgian freelancers as part of his "Freelancers On the Road" in-person meet-up series across Europe.
